AOD-9604 – General Overview
AOD-9604 (Anti-Obesity Drug 9604) is a synthetic peptide derived from a specific fragment of human growth hormone (hGH), corresponding to amino acids 176–191. Unlike full growth hormone, AOD-9604 was designed to target fat metabolism specifically, without affecting growth, blood sugar, or IGF-1 levels.
AOD 9604 (10 Mg)
AOD-9604 works by influencing fat cells directly through two main mechanisms:
1. Stimulates Lipolysis
It activates pathways that encourage stored fat (triglycerides) to break down into free fatty acids, making them available for energy use.
2. Inhibits Lipogenesis
It reduces the formation and storage of new fat, helping limit fat accumulation.Importantly, AOD-9604 does not bind to growth hormone receptors in the same way as full hGH, which is why it does not cause muscle growth, bone growth, or insulin disruption.
